4/26

It saddens me to know that spring break is almost over. Today was quite productive with my dad. We went to many different academic prep locations to find the perfect SAT class for me to take over the summer. I gained a better understanding of what types of classes are offered and the pricing range as well. Next week, I will be taking the SAT as a placement exam. I hope I do well!

After driving around and gathering some info, we went to cupertino for an early dinner. I was able to get Tpumps again for the second time and I enjoyed it much more this time. The flavors I mixed were strawberry and lychee and I made it a milk green tea. The drink was delicious and I could not stop sipping! Afterwards, we went to Verde to get some food. I ended the day with writing WHAP essays and studying pre-calc.

Its already friday of spring break?! This is surely a tragic moment. Today I was able to catch up with my good friend Sara. Because of the rain, we went to San Felipe to eat beach hut deli and honeyberry. We were unable to go anywhere without getting soaked, so we stayed in starbucks for a bit to enjoy a nice drink. After a tasty and full lunch, Sara and I got dropped off at Eastridge mall. We barely had any money, so we just walked around and window shopped. At eastridge I bumped into my friend Denise and we walked around for a bit talking about our breaks. After eastridge, Sara and I went back to her house to play volleyball. The weather was quite bipolar, raining for a bit then stopping shortly afterwards. Regardless of the rain, we played outside. I enjoyed the sprinkling.

At night, I went to church for youth night as usual. I met up with my cell group and we discussed our spiritual gifts. It was a night of self-evaluation and Im glad I got to spend some time doing that. I had great talks with my friends and left feeling content. God is awesome!

Today was a fun day with my friends Aimee Elazegui and Kameren Boun. We went to pho tau bai, a vietnamese noodle store for lunch. Each of us had a nice delicious bowl of pho as we caught up on each others lives. After that, we walked to Baskin Robins where a promotion was occuring. One scoop was only a dollar! I got 2 scoops, one butter pecan and one cookies and cream. It was fun hanging out with them again.
Around noon, I went over to Kristian Llane's house with Aimee for a bit. We lounged around, played a few instruments, had good laughs, and watched some Zoey 101. I ended the day with homework (once again).

4/23

I cant believe its already Wednesday of spring break. Time goes by fast when you dont have school everyday! Today I got to try a new hyped  up drink place called Tpumps in Cupertino. My original plans was to grab some food at The Plant, but we ended up driving to another city. Tpumps was pretty tasty, definitely different from other tea stores. After grabbing some chinese desserts, we headed back home.

I spent a little time practicing my driving at the EV parking lot. I was able to drive around this parking lot with ease and improve my parking as well. After I came home around 4, I took a shower and continued doing homework.

4/22

Today was a better day than yesterday! I went to the beautiful Japanese Friendship Garden for the first time ever and it was stunning. On the grass I enjoyed a lovely picnic and fed some ducks. It was the perfect place to be for earth day! Nature should be greatly appreciated instead of being trashed.

Of course, I had to end the day with homework. hahaha. There is a ton of work that my teachers left for me this week, so I continued my journey on this path of never ending work. Although I'm piled with homework, I love the relaxing vibe that spring break gives, unlike school.

4/21

Its the Monday of spring break! Oh how great it felt being able to sleep in for a couple extra hours. Today I will dedicate most of my day to homework and studying, as boring as it sounds. I want to complete as much work as I can today so that the rest of the week wont be as overwhelming. While I do my homework, I open up another tab to watch Glee. With all thats been going on at school, I havent been able to watch this show for months. After 2 episodes of Glee, I feel like I have wasted a lot of time already.

After the first day, I was able to read the first chapter of Lord of the Flies, study WHAP, do some math problems, type part of my Narwhal essay, practice piano, and catch up a bit on Glee. I ended the night by taking a walk around the neighborhood, going all the way down to EV and back up. Today definitely wasn't the funnest day, but at least I got a lot of homework out of the way!

Poetry Slam Reflection

The poetry slam was a very interesting assignment. It was nice being able to hear different poems written by your own classmates. I felt that a majority of us were unable to break out of our comfort zone and read our poems with energy and passion. Most of us found it easier to simply recite the poem in front of the class. Personally, I felt that I could have showed more emotion. Other than that, I feel that my presentation had reached my expectations. The poetry slam was pretty fun to do!

New Years/New Semester Goals #post6

Setting a goal is the best way to keep myself motivated. This semester, I want to get a better grade in Pre-Calc and WHAP. I want to improve my GPA instead of letting it drop. Another academic goal I have is to start studying for the SATs coming up next year. I know that time flies by, and I will try my best not to waste it.
Some personal goals I have are putting 100% of my effort into Battle of the classes, staying fit, and to find happiness in the right things. I want to look back at this school year with a smile and be happy for what I accomplished.
